NOLA PROPERTY TAX DEADLINE EXTENDED- MARCH 15th

Good news for homeowners! If you've been feeling the pressure to settle your property taxes by tomorrow, take a deep breath. The deadline has been extended.

You now have until Friday, March 15th 2024, to get those property tax bill payments in before interest starts accruing at one percent per month. Whether you prefer traditional mail or online transactions, the process has been streamlined for your convenience.

Here's how you can make your payment hassle-free:

1. Mail it in: Simply use the provided envelope with the scannable bill stub and send it off. Accepted forms of payment include checks, money orders, and cashier’s checks.

2. Online payment: Visit the City's website nola.gov/property-tax/ to submit your payment. There's no convenience fee when using a checking account (e-check), but if you opt for credit or debit card, a 2.49 percent processing fee applies.

3. Curbside Drop Off: Swing by City Hall on Tuesday, Feb. 27th through Thursday, Feb. 29th. Remember to include the bill stub and specify the property address and bill number. Only checks, money orders, or cashier’s checks are accepted, and no receipts will be provided.

4. Quick-serve drop-off locations: If you're in a hurry, designated public libraries across the city will be accepting drop-offs from Feb. 27th to Feb. 29th. Check out locations like the East New Orleans Regional Library, Norman Mayer Library, Mid-City Library, and Algiers Regional Library during specified hours.
